About the district
The area is located right on the shore of the Gulf of Riga and surrounded by pine forest. There are many private houses, cottages and several residential complexes. In summer the area comes alive thanks to the beach and cafes.
Infrastructure is well developed for an outskirt area — there are supermarkets, schools, kindergartens, sports grounds. In summer numerous cafes and restaurants operate. It takes about 40-50 minutes to the center by public transport.
Vecāķi is an excellent choice for families who want to live by the sea in an environmentally clean area. Prices are higher than other outskirt areas, but quality of life and proximity to nature justify it.
